Hi everyone,
I’m unable to launch Device Manager from any IP Address in my Adaptive Security
Appliance 5505 after the upgrading JAVA v5 to JAVA v5.
It shows an error “Unable to launch Device Manager from IP ADDRESS”.
Unable To Taunch Device Manager From IP-Address/Hostname.
This problem occurs due to two reasons.
1. The ASDM (Adaptive Security Device Manager) image on the flash drive is incompatible with the ASA and JAVA versions.
2. The SSL value is the default generated value even after the user activates the VPN-3DES-AES license.
Try formatting your flash drive and load compatible (downgraded) images.
Under the SSL value, set “3des-sha1”.
These steps will most probably work.
