Unable to Start VSC in Windows 7

Before upgrading my computer’s operating system to Windows 7, I was using Windows XP with Cakewalk Pro Audio 7 and VSC 3.2. Now, I’m unable to start VSC in Windows 7 despite going through all the signs of loading drivers and stuffs. Also, every time I try to run VSC, it says that the audio output cannot be opened yet. Any of you encountered these problems and manage to solve these? If so, then kindly instruct me what to do.  Thanks in advance.

Hello Vina,

First of all, you have to consider the following questions to be able to determine the causes of  your problem.

  1. Did you receive any error message code?
  2. Did VSC program successfully installed on windows 7?

I have checked the windows 7 compatibility for VSC and found out that it is not listed and the Windows 7 compatibility for VSC is unknown.

I recommend you to install the program using a different operating system. You can check out the Windows 7 compatibility for VSC by visiting this link.

Best of luck,

Zorian

Hi Vina,

You just have to reinstall VSC 3.2 into your computer but with some changes. Remove first your currently installed VSC from your computer. Restart computer if it prompts you to do it after removing VSC. Find the setup.exe from your VSC installation folder. Right-click on it, choose Properties and on the Advanced Tab, then select option "Run this program in Compatibiltiy Mode for" and select Windows XP (Service Pack 2). Click OK and run the setup.exe file to proceed the installation. That should work from now on without any problems.
