Hello experts,

I got this following error message when I tried to adjust the speed of a clip on the timeline in FCP v6.0.3.

I have tried to restart the application to adjust the clip as I needed but I could not fix this message.

I really need your help.

Thanks in advance.

Unable to complete command. A conflict occurred during a trim operation.

If that’s what’s happening whenever you adjust the speed of the clip in the timeline using Final Cut Pro, try something like this. In the same project, create a new sequence and make sure it has the same settings as with your other sequences. Next, go back to the original sequence where you had a problem and copy it.

After that, go to the newly created sequence and paste the copied sequence from the original sequence. This will allow you to modify the speed of the sequence. After applying your desired speed to the sequence, copy and paste it into the original sequence. If you don’t want to create a new sequence in the same project, you can create a new project and just repeat the same copying and pasting task.

Or you may just save the new project where you already adjusted the speed. Another way is to select both the video and audio tracks, right-click and select Change Speed.
