Hi, I have no idea why I cannot access the drive in my computer which MS Windows XP is installed.  This error message appears repeatedly.

‘ERROR MESSAGE’
‘1005 'ERROR_UNRECOGNIZED_VOLUME
The volume does not contain a recognized file system.
Please make sure that all required file system drivers are loaded
and that the volume is not corrupted.’

This drive is very important because all my works, assignments and data i.e. my life is saved here.  Please save my life and suggest what I shall do to access the drive again.  Many thanks.

Hey Markony.

  • The solution to recover you data is possible by formatting the hard disk. This problem could happen sometimes that your file corrupted and by simple recovery method you would feel unable to get back that file. But its very simple by formatting your hard disk and reinstall your operating system.
  • Another solution is that other Partition Recovery Software are available in market I just remember one advanced software i. e Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery Software, you only need to install that software in your PC. The recovery Software could retrieve your all of the missing data available to you again.

Hope this will help you.

  • You know I encountered this kind of problem during the installation process and I got some of errors. To fix this kind of errors, get your Windows XP installer and put it into the CD ROM. Then the setup of the windows XP will flash in your screen. Then Find repair. In these steps, the error of your windows XP will be repair. After repair your computer will reboot and open Windows and its work no more error.
