Toshiba laptop drivers cd missing. How to install drivers?

I have a Toshiba laptop. Few days ago, my younger brother broke its original cd drivers. Now,I want to install a new window, what should I do? (I am unable to search the drivers on Toshiba's website).

Some one suggested  to install the window 7,but my laptop is simple P4 with 512 MB RAM and 120 GB HD only. Will it affect the speed of my computer?

If the issue is with the driver, buy a driver CD. Or if you have the original drivers supplied with your laptop, use that to install/Uninstall.

• Go to device manager
• Select network adapters
• Right click on the network driver
• Uninstall
• Network adapter driver will be reinstalled automatically.
• For Windows XP, right click on network adapters after uninstalling the driver
• Click Scan for hardware changes.

Hi Aijaz,

As We all know the minimum system requirement for Windows 7 is 1 GB of system Ram for 32 bit System. Also for better performances at a Dual-core processor is required.

Since your Laptop Configurations have not reached that conditions its useless and will slowdown the processing speeds a lot.

It’s annoying to hear that you are Unable to find the Drivers. Generally any manufacturer includes their Products drivers in the internet. Try to search using the Laptop model number and device name stated in the Device Manager. May be the Windows 7 drivers are not available or not released due to oldness of the Laptop version.

If  you are unable to do above try to find  driver backup utility tools which are able to extract the current drivers and save them. For example consider Drivermax which is available for free download at http://www.drivermax.com/.

Install the software and back up your drivers which support to the current OS and you can use them when you want. But I recommend you not to move for Windows 7 as it does not suit your system.

You have to install Windows XP Home Edition or any type of XP, after installation you will see your some drivers not installed properly. check your device manager by clicking start—-all programs—-control panel—-device manager

Find the devices with yellow marked (these are the devices which are not properly installed) right click on any one the driver and dropdown menu select update driver.

1. If you have any popular direr cd insert in the cd room driver and select option 2nd (Brows my computer for soft ware)

select cd drive and proceed with next

2. If you not solve through this option, connect your computer to the internet by any source and follow the option 1st and select the option search through internet and wait while the device installed

Windows 7 is the heavy version of windows so it can slow you system speed if u upgrade RAM to 1 GHz then it will run on window 7

HI Aijaz

Windows 7 is too heavy for your laptop. If possible, go in for hardware revamp that is apt for Windows7. Else, I suggest you stick on with what you were comfortable with, earlier.

Coming to the drivers for your laptop, visit this url – https://support.toshiba.com/

The screen is very helpful even for a novice. Select your model and requirements and download directly onto your laptop after you have your OS in place.

Else, take the help of your friend's computer with internet connection or go to an internet cafe and use the above url to download your requirements onto a CD/DVD and you are done with your wanted list of drivers for your laptop.
