Tortoise SVN 1.6.7 – Thinkpad with OS Windows 7

Hello friends,

I am using Lenovo Thinkpad with OS windows 7 pro 32 bit. I wanted to install TSVN 1.6.7 on my system and I have been trying to do this for the last two days. The installation process starts perfectly but it gets stuck at the following statement:

Publishing Product Information

After this statement an error message pops up on the screen. The screenshot of the error is as under:

Installer Information

An error occurred during the installation of assembly
component
{D72DDA45-EE3D-3264-ABD3-3A34626903F2}.
HRESULT:0x80070057."

I don’t know why this error is showing up again and again. I even tried to resolve my problem by using the older version of TSVN which is 1.6.6 but the same error occurred again.

Can anyone help me resolve this problem? Please help me.

Hi,

This could be caused due to older version of .net framework. install new version of .net framework manually or update your windows 7 and it should be updated automatically. And you can also try updating TSVN instead of installing an older version of it. this should solve your problem. I hope you find the solution. Make sure that you update your windows regularly.
