I am trying to install DxO 5.3 on MAC OS X 10.6 machine. I have already tried to install it on a few other machines and it did not have any issues. But when I try to install, on in this particular machine I get the following error message:
Instal DxO Optics Pro 5 There were errors with the installation. You may want to try installing again.
The installation failed. The Installer can’t create the folder*/var/folders/zz/zzzivhrRnAmviuee+++++++++++/-Tmp-//install.44407GSSQRG*.
Does anyone here know how to go about this issue? Any help on this issue is appreciated.

I suggest this solution for your problem above.
You may run the DXO download manager and choose the install “on another computer” option (Please take note that the default install is in “On this computer”. This will create an install folder on your computer. After that, run the installer in the install folder to replace the old version of Optics Pro. You can check the photos for a clearer idea on how it will look like, when you try it again.
You may also consider the other causes of the error, that you had encountered. Maybe, you uninstalled the application whose program is also associated with DxO Optics Pro 5. An interrupted or incomplete installation of certain program, which results the DxO Optics Pro 5 .exe file missing or incomplete, or the registry related to DxO Optics Pro 5 was deleted mistakenly by virus or the user itself.
