Last week I bought an iPhone 4 & I always like to be connected with internet. So maximum time in a day, I keep browsing websites from my phone.
I am however, confused regarding one thing. That is virus. My question is, is there have any probability for an iPhone 4 to be affected by virus?

Yes an IPhone has security vulnerabilities. Attackers could gain access to user data. Good thing is that Apple is very active in fixing iPhone vulnerabilities. If you want to check the latest security updates from Apple, here is the link : Latest Security Updates.
Make sure you always update your iPhone with the latest security updates. Their latest release is July 25,2011, so grab it before it's too late.
In addition, here are two more tips I could share with you.
Make sure you change the default password of your iphone.
Do not jailbreak. Jailbreak is used to open software not approved by Apple. They can be illegal applications or any unsupported software.

It is absolutely possible for iphone to be affected by viruses especially in this case where you are surfing the internet and downloading files from it. To be on the safe side, you will need to install and antivirus on the iphone. There are antivirus applications that are meant for mobile phones and therefore you will just download one and install.
One antivirus that I will recommend you use is kaspersky, but ensure that you Google for kaspersky for mobile phones, download and install it on you mobile phone. This will protect your iphone from malicious threats from the internet.
