I have been searching a Free Video Converter for so long, and unluckily I haven't found yet the perfect software that has no watermark and good features on it.
Here's my journey in searching for the kind of software that I'm looking for:

I've spotted a software which has watermark too, but the thing is it is only for a 10 days free trial. And what I'm looking for is that a full free version on it.

I've tried Xilisoft, but it loses a quality from the original video, such as the delaying for the dialog.

I found this freeware with a very annoying watermark while the video is playing. Imagine, the watermark will appear in the middle of the screen every after 30 sec that was so annoying and obviously that's not what I'm looking for. And no one in this world would watch that kind of movie!

I've tried using Windows Livemovie Maker, but it will only accept avi file. It will take so much time to convert it into avi then proceed to another conversion again to get the movie file. So I prefer using just one software that could convert into movie files from different file, e.g., flv to ifo.

And there are some videos which are not in a language that would fit to the viewers choice and/or for a better understanding of the dialogs. In order to achieve it is to have a subtitle in the software.
Here are my desire features in the software:

 Free.

 No quality loss (no delays and audio quality loss).

 Watermark (its ok as long its not that too destructive).

 All in one converter (converts a different video file into another file).

 Fast conversion process.

 Subtitles.
I hope that someone could help me in this problem. I'm running out of time, and I need this for my final project. Please.

Freeware Video Converter with good quality
Hi Alexa,
Like you, I went through this dilemma as well — searching for the perfect video converter; Free and Good Quality. Nowadays, there are a good number of free converters which provide a watchable quality converted video.
However, if you really want a Very Good quality video conversion, you really have to spend money in order to achieve that.
The freeware converters' quality are usually in a watchable video output since they are free. These converters are most of the time programmed by individuals or small organizations trying to build reputation and fund their projects through donations.
There really isn't any best converter out there. It all depends on your preference and the video that you want to convert. Since different videos have different qualities, therefore they will also have different outputs.
You may have to find the one that will fit what you need. Here are some converters which may just be what you are looking for:
1. Freemake Video Converter
This is totally free! No watermark and can convert AVI, MP4, MKV, WMV, MPG, 3GP, 3G2, SWF, FLV, TOD, AVCHD, MOV, DV, RM, QT, TS, MTS, and many more. It can also convert iPod Classic, iPod Touch, iPod Nano, iPod 5G, iPhone, iPad, Sony PSP, PS2, PS3, BlackBerry, Xbox, Apple TV, Android mobile devices, smart phones, etc. It has some great conversion presets which are editable if you need a different setting. This is German-made software but the interface is in English. Freeware Video Converter with good quality
Hi Alexa,
Though there are so many sites that says that the software is free but actually it is not and there are so many terms behind it. Once I was also tired of searching a good video converter and after a hard research I found an excellent totally free software "Format Factory".

There are many freeware Video Converter with good quality that can be searched and downloaded over the internet which has no watermark and can convert any video formats.
There is also video converter that you need to buy for the best quality output of the video. Some of the converters that are free to use are:
You can search over the internet the difference of these converters but the only thing that I know that those converters can convert any video format of your video. Some of those formats are AVI, MP4, MPG, SWF, FLV, iPod Touch and etc.
Always remember, that these freeware can convert any formats, can add also subtitles and can rip DVD’s. Additionally, it depends on the converter you use the format you want in your video.
