If your system does not respond to you, you can check your problem with different DVD players, if they all are working or not, clean the disc before inserting and be sure that it’s not damaged. You can try different blank discs. If some other program is burning the files it should wait. They might be some other program that might be running in the background, make sure to close them all as it might be using the CD burner.

You can restart and check again. You can also boot the system. In the main Setup Box click on repair, go to Command Prompt. In the Command prompt type recdisc and enter, you will see different options for the letter to create in the recovery disc. You need to remove the installation disc if present and insert a plain DVD in the drive and start, which will get your system repair disc created.
