Steps on removal of Windows 7 Sp1

We need to consider 2 things here:

1. Did the OS come with a built in SP1 for Windows 7?

2. Did you install Service pack 1 for Windows 7?

If the Laptop/Desktop was delivered with SP1 then you are in trouble. We cannot uninstall until the vendor did a manual install.

I will explain 2 ways to uninstall (Method 1 would be manual and Method 2 is via Command prompt).

Method 1

Go to Programs and Features.

Click Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > View installed updates then click Service Pack for Microsoft Windows (KB 976932).

If you cannot see this "Service Pack for Microsoft Windows (KB 976932)" this means the OS is built in with Sp1.

Method 2

Click Start > Run > In block type command or cmd.

Then type wusa.exe /uninstall /kb:976932.

Enter

It's simple as that but if it's bundled with the OS then you are out of luck.
