Hello! I live in an apartment and a neighbor just moved in. He needed an Internet connection as quickly as possible so I decided to share my WiFi connection with him. But is it safe to share your WiFi connection with others, I mean with strangers? I do have a password protected WiFi and only I know the password. But is it possible to spy on others or hack other computers when using a shared WiFi connection? Thanks in advance for the help!

Setting up a password to your wifi means you are encrypting it.

Giving your wifi password to your neighbor means that you have given your encryption password. As a result your security is compromised.

Risks

1. Your neighbor may be able to access the files or a printer.

2. Your neighbor may be able to see the traffic. 

3. If your neighbor's computer is affected by some malware, it might travel to your computer too.
