Where can I get free skin themes for lync to revolutionize my Microsoft lync 2010 environment and how do I integrate the theme in my application without any possible distortion of the application's functionalities?

Hello Jocelyn,

We are on the same boat! I also really wanted to change my skin theme and I know the feeling, I'm frustrated by it too the look is just too bland to the eyes, They're just plain boring. Well unfortunately, Microsoft lync 2010 doesn't support customized themes. It only support the windows high contrast themes which you can change by going to:

Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Personalization

You can choose the contrast theme you want and you can also change the window color, sounds and your screen saver.

I searched for 3rd party applications that might help us change themes but sad to say, I found none.

Hope this helps!

Hello Jocelynjaimee,

Currently, Microsoft Lync versions 2013 and below still doesn’t support customized themes. However, you can alter the colors of your Lync window by changing your computer’s window contrast settings. This can be done by choosing from a number of contrast options in the Personalization Tab in your computer’s Control Panel. To get there,

a. Click the windows button on the lower left side of the desktop screen and click the “Control Panel” link. A window with several categories would appear.

b. Select “Appearance and Personalization”.

c. Under “Personalization”, you will find three groups. Go to the last group which should be labeled “Basic and High Contrast Themes”.

d. Choose one of the none-selected templates.

Hope this helps.
