Source does not turn on with video card connected

The problem occurs with my GTX 460. When connecting the second PCI-e 6-Pin cable, my computer won't turn on. But if I connected a single 6-pin connector, the VGA cooler will work, but logically, the video does not really work since a 2-pin connector is needed. I want to know if I need to do something to resolve the issue. Please note that I tested this on another computer and the same thing happens. I also purchased an HD 7850 so I can try but I need to know if there's a way to restore the board? Please help.

Hello James!

I have heard about the problems with GTX 460 that it will only let computer boot if only 1 PCI-6 pin is connected. If both pins are connected it will not let you boot or it will not be recognized. Better yet try to check if it will work with another system. The compatibility is the tested here. If this doesn’t work also with another system meaning to say the problem is with GTX 460 itself. If it will work with another system there’s some configuration that you just need to properly set with your system. Otherwise replacement of this part is the best resolution for your problem.
