I have windows 7 installed and recently updated my sound drivers. Since then whenever I try to record something I receive error saying sound recorder driver windows 7 not installed properly. I was wondering if someone knows the cause of this problem and how to rectify this issue? Any kind of help would be appreciated.

Hi,

There are some methods to fix the problem. The method given below is the easiest and simple – I think. So…..

Go to Start and then Control Panel

Click in Sound

When you see a new window, click on the tab Recording

Right-click in the window and click on 'Show disabled devices'

Can you find the Microphone here?

I think you find.

Now Right-click and choose Enable

Last of all Right-click on it and update the driver under Properties option.
