The first thing you can do is to check whether the disk is causing any problem. Now try to run Hardware and Device Troubleshooter. To do so, follow these steps-

• Type ‘Find and fix problems with devices.’
• Select it.
• Click on ‘Next.’
• Now, follow the steps appearing on the screen.

If the above process is not solving the problem, then, you have to test the drive for a hardware failure. You can do this by following these steps-

• Turn your PC off.
• Press the power button and quickly press the ‘Esc’ button for a few seconds.
