Hello,

There are many issues with many software and sometimes, they are malwares that make everything in the PC become slow.

First of all, uninstall the software you installed recently. Make sure that it is uninstalled completely from your system using any good uninstaller like Wise Program Uninstaller, Revo Uninstaller etc.

Next, make sure that no malware is inside your system. You can use any free tool like Avast Free Antivirus, AVG Antivirus etc.

Now, it’s time to tweak a system settings.

1. From Start menu, type “gpedit.msc” >> hit Enter.

2. Go to Computer Configuration >> Administrative Templates >> Network >> QoS Packet Scheduler.

3. Double-click “Limit reservable bandwidth”.

4. Select “Enabled” from the top-left options.

5. Change the value of “Bandwidth limit” to 0.

6. Press Apply >> OK.

You also might consider deploying Google DNS for better internet speed. Learn how to setup Google DNS.

Now, your internet speed should be faster.

Check what software it is you downloaded and what it is for. If you downloaded the application and then you install it on your computer then this issue happened, the program you downloaded is probably using your internet connection to feed internet traffic to your computer thus slowing down your internet connection because you are almost unable to make an outgoing connection because of the incoming traffic that goes to your computer.

The software you downloaded is probably a malware or is infected by a virus. Since it is possible that your machine is already running with a virus, try downloading Sophos Virus Removal Tool. It is best used on computers that are already infected. Once downloaded, run the installer to install the tool. Don’t disconnect from the internet because the tool will download the recent virus database and update its existing database.

It will take sometime depending on your connection. Once it is finished, start cleaning your computer. At the end of the scan, the tool will display all the viruses detected. Remove them and then scan your computer again until it no longer detects a virus.
