My skype cannot establish an internet connection what could be the problem? I have cleared my firewall for internet connection for skype and I have got the ports to route the internet from the default internet settings for the system, is there a specific port number for skype connections? what might that port number be?

To configure the port numbers for Skype connections:
– Open the Skype, then from the menu choose Tools and Options.
– Under Advanced tab, click Connection.
– Enter the port number that you wish Skype to use, as for incoming connections.
– Choose whether to use port 80 or 443 as alternatives for incoming connections and Save.
 If another application uses these ports, Skype may not function properly. If that is the case you can configure the other application to use different ports or uncheck this box. To configure the other application, contact the application's developer.
