Sharp AR-163 error after inserting a new cartridge

Hi, after inserting a new cartridge in my Sharp AR-163 copier yesterday, I found a problem with it. It was flashing an error that says U2-40. I then replaced the cartridge but this did not solve the problem. Can you tell me what is causing this error? Please also give me some suggestions and tips on how to fix this problem. I will be waiting for your response.

Hello Alex,

Your problem might be regarding toner cartridge issue. Try to remove it, reinstall the toner and then turn off the printer device. If problem persist, try to reset the error by PRESSING the following steps:
1. Hash/Pound (#)
2. Interrupt
3. Clear
4. Interrupt
Wait for the screen to display "Service Mode", then,
5. Enter 16
7. Press Print
Wait for the confirmation which ask you if you are sure to continue, then press Yes.

If resetting procedure fails, then it's time to change the toner. There must have been a defective crum or counter chip on where the cartridge rest. If the crum was just twisted, then you can work with it using a plier to straighten the deformities.
