What could have been the reason why I keep on receiving an error message GVM0108E when performing the Set Note Password function? I really don’t understand. I really find the message so confusing. Can you please at least tell me what should be done so that I can proceed successfully? Or maybe you could probably explain the meaning of the error message below.

 

Error: GVMIOBE Set password failed. Error: ANS1025E (RC137) Session rejected: Authentication failure

The error itself already saying what the error is, so you encounter this problem because you are specifying incorrect password on the initial settings of password. This problem also will show if set Node Password function has been used more than once without resetting Tivoli Storage Manager Server node password.

So for you to solve this problem, you have to make sure that you are using valid password for the node, you can use administrative Update Node command on Tivoli Storage Manager server to reset the node password before setting the node password for VMCLI via Tivoli Data Protection for your VMWare-plugin.
