Segmentation Fault in thread, at Address 0x0

Greetings to everyone at Techyv!

I've installed an upgrade of Avid software on  my desktop. When I ran it, this error came up.

I used an uninstaller to remove the previous one, with a hunter mode to clean up remaining files.

What could be the problem here?

Although Mac system is supported, your system is required to be in 64-bit version.

Otherwise, the application will still don’t work. Since you did not mention in your post about your computer’s specifications, read the information below about Avid Media Composer 6’s system requirements:

Windows

• Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1 64-bit
• Intel Core 2 Duo 2.33 GHz or higher processor
• 4 GB RAM, 6 GB RAM recommended
• NVIDIA Quadro FX 560 or higher video card
• 80 GB free hard disk space

Mac

• Mac OS X Lion 64-bit
• Dual Core 2.66 GHz or higher processor
• 4 GB RAM, 6 GB RAM recommended
• NVIDIA GeForce or ATI Radeon video card
• 80 GB available hard drive space

See the details above if it matches your computer’s hardware specifications.

If your hardware qualifies to run it, try uninstalling it and then install it back to have a fresh configuration.

Try not to use any third-party application for uninstalling this program.
