Hi everyone,

My server is running on Windows Server 2003. When I tried to migrate from Small Business Server 2003 to Small Business Server 2011. I keep getting this error message :

Security Translation Wizard

Security translation will not be performed as no user or group was

previously migrated from the domain ” Source” to the

domain destination.

What I did was, I securely made a Health Check on Small Business Server 2003. Then, I also Configured SBS2003 for single NIC. Then after that, I Run Migration Preparation tool on SBS2003 & Create Answerfile. I also go to Administrative User Creation and Setting data locations then, Configure the Network. After I Configure the Internet Address, I keep getting this error dialog box.

I have no idea why this problem occur. Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Nice to see this question. Actually, here you did not mention the error code. Most of the times, we get an error code number, for all the Microsoft products, so that we can get quick solutions from Microsoft online support center.

Here I understand your problem and this is a common problem for Migration tool. Please follow these steps. Hope your problem will be solved.

  1. Must you need to install Active Directory Migration Tool v 2.0. Then restart your computer.
  2. Please visit and download this hotfix file and install it in your server. After installing this hotfix, please do not restart your computer. This hotfix will not be replaced with other hotfix.

After installing this hotfix, please copy the Mcsdctworkerobjectsnt4.dll file to the NT4AgentMcsdctworkerobjects.dll, location under the folder that contains the ADMT. By default this folder is C:Program FilesActive Directory Migration Tool.

Please try to do this.

Take care
