Hi,

I have a Galaxy S3 that I bought on eBay and it was working fine. A few days ago, I dropped it accidentally and it did not seem damaged in any way. Still it was fine but the next morning I saw it was off. I think it shut itself down and it could not turn on any more. Could it be drop? Can anyone provide suggestions as to what I should do?

Hi!

Your problem is definitely caused by that drop.

I will provide you two solutions that will help you, otherwise you need to send your phone to repair.

First solution: You should try remove the battery for a while. Then, put it back. Try turn on your phone.

Second solution: Try reset your phone by go to Settings. Then, choose Apps. After that, choose All. There should be Google Services Framework, choose it. Next, click Clear Data. Finally, you should turn off your phone and try turn on it back.

Good luck.

Hello Albert D White,

Yes the drop is the actual reason for your problem. As it dropped hard and it's not powering on, I recommend you to do a hard reboot on your phone. To do this, follow the steps below –

1. First remove your battery for 5 minutes and put it back in.

2. Press and hold volume + home + power button at the same time .

3. When logo pops-up release the buttons.

4. You will see a menu options. Press volume down or up to navigate.

5. Now choose "wipe data/factory reset" your phone will reboot and start.

If it doesn't start-up than seeing your phone to a mechanics is the wise decision.

Best of luck with that!
