Hi JudithLBarton,

The Samsung Galaxy S WiFi comes with Android 2.3.5 and offers support for almost every video format available.

The video player will latterly support every common format you will offer it. The problem is actually in the processing power of it since it has only 1 GHz  processor making it a hard job for the Samsung Galaxy S WiFi to handle High Definition videos what ever the format they are. So you should check your choice again if you are a fan of carrying HD movies to watch on this device.

Hope this helps.
