I tried running MemoQ on Linux using WINE but it was not successful due to an error in installing the Microsoft. NET. Framework, and .NET. I cannot skip this because it is required in MemoQ. What should I do with this? Please help me.

Hi Albern,

As far as I know, installing and/or properly running MemoQ in Wine is not possible.

Does running MemoQ on a Virtual Machine is a possibility for you? If so, let me know if you need any help with installation and setup of a Virtual Machine.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Matt

Hello Albern,

Sadly you can’t use MS .NET Framework on Linux. If you cannot skip MemoQ, then you will have to use “MONO” which is an open source implementation of MS .NET Framework. Its functionalities are almost same as .Net Framework. You can easily download MONO by visiting this website. http://www.mono-project.com/Main_Page/.

MONO is an open source of MS NET Framework

Hope this will be helpful for you.

Unfortunately, you cannot use .Net Framework on Linux because, .Net Framework is made for only Windows operating system. In that case you can use “MONO” as an alternative of .Net Framework. If you use “MONO” on Linux, it will work like .Net Framework so that you can easily run MemoQ. So, use MONO” to run MemoQ on your Linux.

Thanks.
