Whenever I try to boot my system, a consistent error saying “The boot configuration data for your PC is missing or contains errors” shows up and I am not able to proceed. Moreover the system system has become very sluggish. The error code is 0xc0000185. Any solution?

The error code 0xc0000185 often flashes when the boot configuration data for your PC is missing or contains errors and if you unplug the mouse, keyboard, pen drive, or any other USB device from your Windows 8 device and try to restart your system and then also you shall keep getting this error code 0xc0000185. You should use System Restore for restoring the system to the normal working state once the updates that you have previously installed are removed properly.
