Remove Recommended Sidebar in YouTube Even When I’m Logged Out

Hello,

I'm a tutor for lecturing young kids and elderly people to learn how to use the internet.

I started my lecture with YouTube because it is a fun way to start and videos are likely to get attention to both of these audiences.

Is there a browser script or even a Firefox add-on that will help manipulate the related searches on YouTube so it displays only the sites that are safe for children and is not too harsh for the elderly?

Dear friend,

  • By enabling YouTube Safety Mode you can able to stop the objectionable material videos to be displayed which are not safe for children and objectionary for adults.
  • You can also hide comments that contain inappropriate word by overriding that with stars.

To filter out videos that are not suitable to minors, to disable this simply follow below steps.

  • Scroll to the bottom of any YouTube page.
  • Find Safety Mode there and change it to on or off to change your settings.
  • Click Save button to save your settings.
  • You can also lock the Safety Mode on a browser which prevents other users from changing these settings even if you are logged out.
