Is it possible to conduct a reliability test to my DNS server to check if it executes correctly and efficiently using a Windows R2 server? Should this process not be suitable, can you please advise me on how I can test if my server is running accordingly?

For sure you can be able to conduct a reliability test to  your DNS server, because a mediocre DNS will slow down the connection speed on websites and Internet servers and it will also cause connection issues and even censorship. To test the reliability of  a DNS you will need to use the DNS Benchmark, which is a free portable software that is used on the Windows operating systems. You will use it to test the speed of multiple DNS servers.

What the above program does is that it will test pre-added servers some of which include Google DNS and Open DNS among others. It can also be used to add or remove particular domain name servers from the listing in case you do not want them.
