It is Common Error in Windows XP that is in fact error in registry files.
Do the Following actions to overcome this problem.
Start the system with safe mode with networking support. (Press F8 when windows is starting). Then Do "chkdsk -F" that will scan disk completely and fix errors. It will also recover bad sectors if any. After that, Restart computer and boot normally.
if the problem exist then create a new account as;

Logout the computer and re-log in with newly created account. From this account, delete all unnecessary registry files via typing regedit in RUN.
Another way to solve this problem is to change your computer's RAM. Files are loaded in Ram Firstly, your computer's RAM may be damaged. If you have Dual Ram( 2 Rams located in 2 Slots) then remove one RAM and check, after that remove other and place firstly.
Registry Error always appear on boot
Dear,
It seems that you are facing a problem with bad clusters. In fact, bad clusters are created in the file system when an improper shutdown takes place.
It is easy to repair these bad clusters.
Your registry files are hanging in these clusters, so you can easily repair them.
Just boot your computer with WIN98, and apply this command in Dos Mode.
Type “chkdsk” in Dos.
It will take a few minutes,then try your Windows.
The error will be gone.
Thanks.
