Hi Alisa, What particular place are you staying?  Microsoft Windows Sharepoint is available anytime, anywhere.  It is available when you want, and where you want, that is the concept of Sharepoint, you are going to share.  You can check on Google , for that. It is available in America, Latin America, Australia, United Kingdom, Russia, Middle East , and Asia and other countries.  There are  two language control, first is  language template pack  where user will choose the navigation and pages on that particular language.  Second is the regional settings, it will control how date, time and list are displayed in a particular web. And it uses two terms for that, Language ID and Local ID.

Microsoft SharePoint or Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services is a web application platform created by Microsoft that was first launched in 2001. It has been traditionally linked with content management, intranet, and document management except latest versions which have radically wider capabilities. It is the chief application in producing organizational intranets.

About 50% of all intranets are created using Microsoft SharePoint according to a recent survey. Microsoft SharePoint, by default, has an interface very similar to Microsoft Office and it is also directly integrated with the Microsoft Office suite. Its web tools are mainly designed for non-technical users. The most common uses of Microsoft SharePoint includes intranet portal, enterprise content and document management, extranet sites, and lastly internet sites.

Microsoft SharePoint intranet portal is the means of centralizing access to enterprise applications and information on a corporate network. It is the tool used to easily handle the company’s data, information, and applications. In enterprise content and document management, Microsoft SharePoint is used to store and follow electronic documents or the pictures of paper documents.

In extranet sites, Microsoft SharePoint can be utilized to give password-protected, web-facing access to those people that are outside an organization.
