RealPlayer cannot play video file

Hello,

I am using Windows Operating System sp2 and installed RealPlayer but an error message appeared when I attempted to play video file. It says “This document is not a RealAudio or RealVideo document”.

Is there any format problem? Help me or suggest me.

Hi Parker,

        By default, Real Player can play Real Audio, Real Video, and MPEG files. For a list of supported file types. It can also play another type if the appropriate plug-ins and Codec’s are installed.

However, real player cannot play files that your computer does not recognize. Download and install the media player or its codec packages that was originally designed to playback that media.

Download and install this software which will supportable formats for your Real Player.

1.   combined community pack
2.   Divx Codec Pack

Once the codec are installed, RealPlayer plus users can use the universal media playback feature to play all supported media files with RealPlayer. To enable universal media playback:

  1. Open RealPlayer
  2. Click the RealPlayer logo, then preferences. The preferences dialogued box open.
  3. In the category area under content, click ‘media types’.
  4. Place a dot next to “Make RealPlayer my universal media player”.
  5. Click ok.
