I have downloaded an msvcp110.dll available on the web for y PC. Ever since I have done it, this particular error message keeps appearing while using or installing certain programs, or shutting and starting Windows, and sometimes even in the middle of OS installation. I want an advice on how to get rid of this problem. The error is:
"Cannot find [PATH]msvcp110.dll"
Random Issues after installing msvcp110.dll
Most importantly, never download msvcp110.dll from any random DLL download website. Whenever you need a copy of msvcp110.dll, it is best that you obtain it from an authorized legitimate source. Now that you are stuck up with a duplicate malicious copy, follow the mentioned steps below:
Download the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4 package. Run it after successful download, so that the msvcp110.dll file gets replaced with the most recent copy provided by Microsoft.
You can also have mistakenly deleted the msvcp.dll file. So search your recycle bin. In case you find it there, just restore it and recover it with a free file recovery online software.
Run a virus/malware scans, restore back system changes recently made, reinstall the affected program and look into available updates for Windows, as that could be an existing bug in the previous version of your entire system.
Test the hard drive of your PC and try getting a free registry cleaner if all else fails.
After a clean up and fresh installation of Windows, a persistent DLL error can only indicate a hardware issue.
