I want to know how to uninstall an update on Windows. Can someone help me with the issue I am having with Windows update uninstaller? Thank you.
To uninstall an update-
1. In start type remove programs
2. Click on add or remove programs
3. Then in the Window that appears select view installed updates
4. All the updates are displayed and you can select and uninstall the desired update

Uninstalling a Windows Update is just like uninstalling an ordinary program. If you are using Windows XP, click “Start,” “Control Panel,” and then “Add or Remove Programs.” At the top, check “Show updates” to show all the updates you’ve installed. Look for the particular Windows Update you installed then select it. Click “Remove” if you see it to uninstall that update.
If you don’t see the “Remove” button, restart your computer in Safe mode then repeat the same steps. If you have Windows 7, the procedure is the same. You need to start your computer in Safe mode to uninstall the Windows Update. To boot the computer in Safe mode, restart your computer then press F8 before the Windows logo appears.
In “Advanced Boot Options,” select “Safe Mode” then hit Enter. Once you’re in Safe mode, click “Start,” “Control Panel,” “Programs,” “Programs and Features” then click “View installed updates” on the left pane. Now, look for the update you wish to uninstall then select it. Click “Uninstall” then restart the computer when it is finished.
