Tech Savvy guys,

Here's a problem, that you can help me resolve. One of my Customers is using QB Pro 2011 and it was working properly for months.

But one day she was trying to open a company after closing the current company, the system got hanged. Only change happened in the system is the updating of  McAfee AV.

I have found 131 malware applications, which had pointed to a coupon program and that is removed by ‘Malwarebytes’. I am using Dell I5 which is having 4GB Memory and running with Microsoft Windows 7 Pro.

I also cleaned up the system. Please guide me to solve this problem as the system is working like a server in the office and all files are saved in that system.

There are another 2 computers with the same configuration, I'm afraid the same problem will repeat on those systems also. Please help me to get out of this problem.

I will be thankful for all help.

Hello Breston

Save your current company files and folder and do a clean uninstall of QB pro 2011 as you have mentioned that you found malware application on that system. So that might corrupt some important file of QB pro 2011.

Clean uninstallation process:

1.       Download Revouninstaller from here:

https://www.revouninstaller.com/start_freeware_download.html

2.       Now install it and do a clean uninstall of QB pro 2011

3.       Restart your system

4.       Install Qb pro 2011 successfully

5.       Try opening new company now

I would suggest you to use a premium antivirus software like, Bitdefender, Kaspersky or Norton Antivirus. Scan for viruses installing one of these Antivirus software.

If the above suggestion didn’t worked for you, then repair your win7 and try again.

Thanks
