PS3 no longer reading bluerays and constant hard disk error

I recently purchased a second hard PS3. Everything was working just fine until I applied the latest firmware update. Now, when I insert a Blu-ray, it is no longer detected by the system. Both games and films are no longer being detected. Also, each time I restart the system, I get an error message saying that the hard disk might be corrupted. How can I fix this?

Hello,

It appears as though the machine you purchased does not have its original software. It apparently was hacked, so the update failed. You need to restore the original firmware. That function should be easy to find and perform. Use the system guides. If that fails, visit the manufacturer site for instructions pertaining to the restoration of firmware. You will need to acquire software from the website and use your PC to restore the firmware.
