Why am I having problem backing up my Linux server to File transfer protocol (FTP)? I recently created a back up of Linux server using Handy Backup but uploading to the FTP is the real challenge. A friend said I should back up the Linux server to Image but my problem is how to create the image. If the image is created, can it restore through the network?

For taking up the backup of your Linux server, you should create image of it. Restoring backup of Linux server is tedious job. Instead of creation and restoration of backup, creation of Image and restoration of image is simplest thing.
Once you create the image of your Linux instance, you will not have to restore it through any tool or network. Linux instance image itself works as the server once you launch it. There is provision of launching Linux image same as launching of fresh Linux instance. Images can be created private or public. Public image is accessible by any user. Private images can be accessible only by user who had created it. Once you launch image, it will start working as Linux server with all the data, which you created at the time of image.
