Problem installing K-free Software on Vista Ultimate

Asked By 10 points N/A Posted on -

Hi experts,

I tried to install ‘k-free’ software which is capable of finding and restoring data. But then I found the following error message:

This program cannot be installed on Windows NT version 6.0 or later.

I have also attempted 2 dissimilar find and restore softwares. But them swap my Adsense ID as well as PAYPAL information and led me to a pre-made website. My operating system is Vista Ultimate.

Please give me a solution.

Thanks a lot.

Dear Rachel Russel,

This message is an incompatibility message of software applications older than your version of Windows. So if you can't install a software in Windows NT 6.0, this means that the program, whatever it is k-free or any other, is not compatible with Windows vista or Windows 7. It would probably work on Windows NT 5.01, 5.1 or 5.2 which stands for Windows XP versions and SP1, SP2 and SP3.

In order to make your application compatible with older OS version: right click your application, in the Compatibility tab check the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select Windows XP SP3 from the drop down list or any other older Windows versions you like.

incompatibility message of software applications

Hope this may help you.

Best of luck.

If you are referring to a particular software and you encountered an error while installing it, the best way to deal with it is check the program’s system requirements and verify that your computer meets those requirements. If the version is not compatible with your computer, try checking for an updated version or update your operating system to the latest Service Pack whichever applies.

If you are installing a free trial, check the number of days you can use the product for free. Normally, after this period, the application will automatically stop working or sometimes some of the features get disabled but the program is still functional.
