Maybe there is something wrong with your operating system that is why Google Earth is not working normally. This application works on newer versions of Windows operating system and I’m sure it will also work on your platform. Not unless you are using other operating system and not Windows. To learn more about Google Earth’s system specifications, read the details below:

Minimum system requirements

  • Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7
  • Pentium 3 500 MHz or higher processor
  • 256 MB RAM
  • 400 MB available hard drive space
  • 128 kbps internet speed
  • DirectX 9
  • 3D capable with 64 MB built-in RAM video card
  • 1024 x 768 16-bit High Color screen resolution

Recommended system requirements

  • Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7
  • Pentium 4 2.4 GHz or AMD 2400xp or higher processor
  • 512 MB RAM
  • 2 GB available hard disk space
  • 768 kbps internet speed
  • DirectX 9
  • 3D capable with 256 MB built-in RAM video card
  • 1280 x 1024 32-bit True Color screen resolution

If your computer keeps on freezing every time you run Google Earth, uninstall the application again and then run a disk check on your computer to see if there is an error in its file structures. If you have a disk utility application installed on your computer use it instead.

  1. Right click on drive C and then select Properties.
  2. Click Tools tab.
  3. Click Check Now.
  4. Check Automatically fix file system errors and then hit Start.

After the disk check install Google Earth again. If the problem didn’t change, you may need to format your hard drive and install Windows again. Windows has a serious internal problem in its core components.

This could be a compatibility issue. If you are using a video card from Nvidia, then it will not work. Try to run Windows Update. I think the updates on driver can fix this issue. And in order to run GE, your computer must meet the minimum requirements:

– Windows XP and later

– At least Pentium 3, 500Mhz

– 512MB of RAM

– 500MB Hard Disk Space

– 128 Kbits/sec Network Speed

– DirectX 9 and 3D supported, 64MB of VRAM

– 1024×768 screen 16-bit color

– Outlook 2007+

Recommended requirements are the following:

– Windows 7 and 8

– Pentium 4 2.4GHz

– 1GB of RAM

– 2GB of Hard Disk space

– 768 Kbits/sec Network Speed

– DirectX 9 and 3D supported, 256MB of VRAM

– 1280×1024 screen, 32-bit color
