Hello experts,

I have installed on my PC Power DVD version 8 and when I tried to open the program this error message box appeared on my desktop. The installation went just fine without any errors. Can anyone help me please to fix this error ? What is causing this error ?

Thanks !

I am also using CyberLink products on my computer and I also get these unusual messages that suddenly appear. Yours is related to registering a DLL file or AX file while mine is about another drive that has been added though I haven’t added any drive especially an optical drive on my computer. In my case, these sudden unusual messages only appear from time to time.

In your case, you should check if it appears constantly like every time you start the application. Try restarting your computer and then start PowerDVD again. See if the message appears. You may also try reinstalling it if the message annoys you. Since you are using an older version of CyberLink PowerDVD, you probably want to upgrade to the latest version which still works on Microsoft Windows XP.

Download and install CyberLink PowerDVD 14.0.4412.58. It requires Windows XP Service Pack 3, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1. If your Windows XP is not running on Service Pack 3 then you should update your operating system. Download Windows XP Service Pack 3. Once downloaded, navigate to the download folder and double-click the installer.

This will update your operating system to Service Pack 3. Once the updating is complete, you will be prompted to restart your computer. Simply restart the computer to finish the update. Also, you will not be able to use the NVIDIA 3D Vision in CyberLink PowerDVD because it is not supported in Windows XP.
