Turn off the power button from keyboard

Windows XP gets the shutdown, when the Power button from the keyboard is pressed. Sometimes the power button gets pressed mistakenly. Windows gets switched off immediately. Maximum time I lost my works. How can I change the settings? (Off the power button)

  • Keyboard setting you can easily change by going to Start button and selecting Control Panel. After Control Panel is selected go to Ease of Access. In the Ease of Access Center click on the link which opening Change how your keyboard works. There you can change all setting connected to your keyboard performance.
  • Any other settings on your keyboard you can change by going to Start button and then Devices and Printers. There select your device and right click and go to Properties. There you can change anything connected to drivers and check is your device working properly or no, speed, hardware etc.

Turn off the power button from keyboard

Start – control panel – power options – click on advanced tab – on power buttons – under shutdown select the option to do nothing – click on ok and close the power option window. This is going to help in that even when you click on the power button on the keyboard nothing is going to happen.
