Have a small consultancy firm which does run training programs for students and young entrepreneurs from all walks of life. However, I do have some materials in English which I give out after the program and that is the only language I do speak during the training sessions, I therefore require a means to meet every participant that comes for this program with a very conversant dialect he or she can identify his or herself with. I humbly what to know if it is possible to develop a software that can translates from English to any other preferred languages by typing or recording the speech in English and the software does the translation by typing and speech depending on the user’s preferred choice? Thank you.

Good day!

In computer programming we usually say there's no limitation as long as you want to break the barriers. Your question if it's possible to create a program that recognizes voice and translate it to words? It is possible. Any programmer can achieve a program or system with such functionality using their preferred programming languages. I am sure that Microsoft do offer simple "Speech Recognition System."

Please be advised that there are systems being sold in the market and for now it is limited. Latest mobile and laptops do offer simple voice recognition system. Visual Basic do offer robotic apps that you can embed in your program that translates words into audio. Please acquire licensed software before creating any system to avoid specially bugs.
