Yes you can use Windows and Linux at the same time with "Virtual Machine" software. Now follow the steps below:

1. Creating a Virtual Machine:

a) Open Virtual Machine software;

b) Create a New Virtual Machine;

c) Specify how much memory is to be allocated for New Virtual Machine;

d) Create an existing hard disk image file;

2. Use of Virtual Machine:

a) Start > All Programs > Windows Virtual PC > Virtual Machines;

b) Press ESC;

c) Install the new Operating System (Linux Ubuntu) on the virtual machine.

d) Choose the drive letter that will correspond to your disk drive.

e) Click on OK to continue with the process.

f) Click on the menu labeled with CTRL+ALT+DEL in your virtual machine window.

Hello Antonyo,

Yes it is very much possible to install two operating systems at the same time.

I am also using Linux with Windows XP with the help of VMWare.

You need to download and install VMWare first in order to run the second operating system on your machine.

To do that follow the following steps:

1. Open the VMWare setup. Click on Install.

2. Go to the main screen of VMware, choose a new virtual machine.

3. Select Typical installation.

4. Give the path of the operating system you want to install.

5. Enter product key, give it a name.

6. Decide the maximum size you want to give to the new OS and set it.

7. Finish the setup and install the OS.

That's it.

Thanks.

It is possible to have not two, but more than hundreds of operating systems.

But you can't run them at the same time.

If you install more than one operating system, then while your PC boots, you can choose your favorite operating system.

But you can't run both at the same time because both operating systems need ram memory, data processing etc.

Which is almost impossible.

So you can't run two operating systems at the same time.

Hi there,

It is really a very simple work. I hope you installed windows before.

Installing Linux is also an easy work like installing windows.

Now select and collect a Linux OS system and try to have a disk of that Operating system.

Now just select a reliable virtual desktop manager and install that.

After installing that virtual desktop manager using that install the Linux.

Now you can access both the operating system at a time by switching the virtual manager.

Thank you,

Riley Weaver.
