Please help me to fix the 42408 error (iTunes). I am unable to purchase anything from iTunes. I have updated the app, but it was not useful. I am using iTunes on Mac.

Here are two methods to fix the 42408 error (iTunes).
Method 1
a. Disconnect iTunes from your iOS device.
b. Open Preferences.
c. GO to Devices.
d. Click on Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically.
e. Close iTunes.
f. Connect device.
g. Start iTunes.
h. Check the error.
Method 2
a. Open the Home folder.
b. Go to the Library.
c. Click on Preferences.
d. Move com.apple.itunes.xxx.plist to any other folder.
e. Check the error.
f. If the error is gone, delete the file that you moved to another location.
