Hey Guys,

I never had this kind of problem. In every Windows you get paint, and I use to have one in my system too.

This happened a few days ago, and I don’t know why. When I click on paint icon I get an error message.

OS Windows XP SP 2

Thanks,

Fran

Paint

Cannot find the file ‘paint’ (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available.

Hi Francissco,

Your Operating System did not recognizes paint that the reason you encounter that kind of error, your paint program did not function anymore, so instead of using it, you should download a 3rd party software to run pain. This program can be download on the internet for free, all of the paint components are there in the internet so you have many software to choose for free. If you can't find that program it will rework your paint by reinstalling your Operating System it's doesn't need you to reformat your PC just reinstall new Operating Systems and i can guarantee it will work. If you don't like to download a 3rd party software then just reinstall Operating Systems. So remember you only have 2 option.

Hello Francissco,

Is the computer you are using connected to a network in that the paint you are accessing the installed applications remotely from a server somewhere on your network? If that is the case then your computer might have disconnected from the network and therefore you will need to check the network cables, ping the NIC card to see packets are being sent, if it disconnected then reconnect back to the network.

Also check that you have not deleted the paint files from the program files on the primary hard drive, because if that is the case then you will not be able to run the application until you reinstall it.

Hope this helps.
