Outlook “service provider does not support it” error

I am using Outlook and I keep on getting an error when I use it.  Error would say,

"Could not complete the operation because the service provider does not support it."

I noticed that this error started to appear when I have updated the Google apps synch. After the update I cannot flag any of the messages that I have on Outlook. If I do so, I would get that error message. I have the same error on my computers at home and at work. I wonder if it coincidence. How is this possible? Can this be fixed? Let me know if there is anything you can suggest.

I’m not sure if it has something to do with synchronizing your Google application because they are of different software and are not integrated with each other or something. Since this problem only happened with your Microsoft Office Outlook, try reinstalling the software to see if this will fix the problem. Uninstall Microsoft Office Outlook from your computer. If it is part of the Microsoft Office package, remove only this feature from the whole package then restart your machine when asked.

After booting, check your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. For a much thorough diagnostic test on your system, use disk utility applications like PC Tools Performance Toolkit or Norton Utilities. Install Microsoft Office Outlook again then see if this fixes the problem.

If after this you are still unable to use Microsoft Office Outlook and still keeps on getting error messages, maybe you should try restoring your computer to the previous state before you attempted to upgrade or update the Google apps. To do this, click on Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, then System Restore. But remember, you will only be successful in restoring your machine to its previous state if your system was able to create a restore point the time you updated Google apps. Normally, Windows automatically creates a restore point which sometimes happens when installing software. You just need to check the available restore points and then restore the system to the time before upgrading Google apps.

You may need to create a new profile for Outlook and then try to do again the Google apps sync after. Click this Microsoft support site for the steps on how to do this. If the issue will be fixed by the new profile creation, you need to set it as the default by doing the following:

1. Click on Start.
2. Click Control Panel.
3. Click Mail icon, then Show profile.
4. Highlight the new profile and click Always use this profile.
5. Click OK.

This solution should fix the error.
