MS Outlook 2010 started losing text is I send message with attachments. The person who received the message could see only attachment but the text field was empty. That started after I installed Windows 7 instead of Windows 8, but I am not sure if it's the problem. Also it takes a lot of time to send message with large attachment, 10-15 mins, I don't think it's normal as well.

Outlook 2010 is losing text in sent messages

Hello, Larry!

One of the possible reasons why this is happening is because you don't save file to location, firstly. This is what is called Mapimail. If you try to input HTML text and then send, it won't be recognized, but instead will treat it as Mapimail, as it interferes with the sending process. HTML is not supported in that process. So, this is why you will have to save it first and then open Outlook again, attach the file and add that saved HTML text and the message will be sent completely.

Regards,

Mathew
