I have Windows XP with 1GB RAM. I installed oracle on my computer from a CD.
Since then oracle folder is not opening and is showing error. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall it, but it shows the same error.
Please tell me how to resolve this issue.

Neither you have mentioned what this error says nor the oracle flavor is mentioned how could I tell you exact solution sweetheart.
Well I may tell you few things to check that you might have missed regarding installation. By Default XP doesn’t prompt to restart the system but you must do it to load installed libraries properly. If it is Oracle 8i or above XP does not support it.
Every time you install it, it will run properly but later on it will start displaying different errors. Run the oracle with same username from which it was installed. Make sure if you have not set C: as default directory you are typing correct path in other places. After installation read the summary where its link is also mentioned. Try opening it from URL with that link somewhat like http://localhost:5500/em.
