Before upgrading to OpenCms 8.0.2, I did not have a problem is creating search pages however after the upgrade, I am unable to do so because this choice is missing. Anyone with an idea how I can use 8.0.2 to create search pages?

Firstly, ensure that you downloaded the right application of and did the correct installation for CMS. If possible, uninstall the current one and re-install afresh. You can check your antivirus to ensure that it is not blocking your installation. You can disable the antivirus for the duration of the installation only.

This is the OpenCms 8.0.2 Distribution to the application download.

Without the right installation, some of the following might not work:

  • The "Advanced Direct Edit" (ADE) mode allows creating page content by drag & drop.
  • The sitemap editor.
  • The "Content Subscription Engine".
  • Extended support.
