Office document customization is not available

Hi experts,

When I tried to run excel VSTO project within Visual studio, the excel file opened with an error message. I closed the excel file and restarted it within VS again but the same error displayed. I am using the latest version of VS. Any suggestion would be helpful to demolish this error.

Hi Mark,

The error message on you received is a common issue with Microsoft Word 2003 and Excel 2003 VSTO customizations with embedded customized documents. You can bypass this issue if you use VSTO related document properties by adding customization to outer documents. You can use the following:

1) _AssemblyName – indicates that the document from MS Office has a VSTO customization.

2)_AssemblyLocation – has a string that gives details or information about the manifest for the customization.
