Hello,

I use Open Office for a long time and the application works fine. However when I try to have installation of an extension, an error message appears.  The message says that Java implementation loader could not be created in extension manager.  Here below is the screenshot of the error message.

Could anyone help me to solve this error please?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Roy,

Follow these steps:
1) Install Java JRE (now 1.27)

2) Install OpenOffice 3.2

3) On the top of the /Tools / Options / …. / Java -> check box at the top to "Use a Java runtime environment"

4) Install the extension.

5) Install OpenOffice 3.3.0 (no uninstall v 3.2)

If the problem still persists try installing  LibreOffice 3.4.3.

Hi Roy,

Try uninstalling OpenOffice and reinstalling it using “Only for this user”. Installing OpenOffice for all the users in the network or Workgroup makes Java to have issues. After installing, add the OpenOffice extensions, use the option to install for current users.

You can also use other version of Java before installing it again., however this step will require you to uninstall the program again.
